A story for kids that don't have books

Today I had a verbal fight with my daughter ... she was testing the limits I supposed and I actually was so tired that my personal limits were very low. Now the funny thing is the result ot of that fight.
We've just finished homework. They had to write a story starting with three words they choose. I will write the story below. What was really surprising to me is: she took her time and wrote, compared to her brother a really long story. Now she told me: take the story and give it to children that don't have books, so that they can read it.
Probably you can imagine how I feel right now ... so the fight of today who was about behaviour and what is relevant in life and was not had its result.
I will first write it down in Italian (original language) and then translate it into English. If you are a native speaker of English, please have a read and correct my errors. It's her first self-written contribution and I really would like it to be among the stories other kids reand. Then again I hope that some other kid will take up this idea and write another short story about something fun to contribute.In the end: it's about taking what they write as homework and collect the stories online.

Il cane, il gatto e il topo
C'era una volta un cane sulla nave che si chiamava Bobbi. Dietro il cane c'era un buco dove viveva un topino che si chiamava Max e dall'altra parte della nave c'era un gatto che si chiamava Garfield e andava a caccia di topi. Mentre il gatto andava a cercare il topo, il cane cercava di arrivare al gatto, ma non ce la faceva ad arrivarci. Il gatto metteva una trappola per topi a terra e sopra la trappola metteva il formaggio. Il topo sentiva l'odore del formaggio e correva a prendere il formaggio. Vedeva la trappola e faceva un salto sopra la trappola e prendeva veloce veloce il formaggio. Il cane correva appresso il gatto e il gatto scappava e entrava in una camera a nascondersi. Il cane non trovava più il gatto e tutto triste andava nella sua cuccia.

The dog, the cat and the mouse
Once upona time there was a dog on a ship and his name was Bobbi. Behind the dog there was a whole where a little mouse called Max lived and on the other side of the ship there was a cat called Garfield who went out to trap mice. While the cat was after the mouse the dog tried to reach the cat, but he couldn't make it. The cat posed a mousetrap on the floor and above the trap some cheese. The mouse smelt the scent of cheese and run to get the cheese. It saw the trap and made a jump onto the trap and quickly took the cheese. The dog was running behind the cat and the cat ran away and went into a room where it hid away. The dog didn't find the cat anymore and feeling sad he went into his doghouse.

While the cat was chasing the mouse the dog tried to catch the cat, but he couldn't manage. The cat put a mousetrap on the floor and some cheese over the trap. The mouse smelled the aroma of the cheese and ran to get the cheese. It saw the trap and jumped onto the trap and quickly took the cheese. The dog was running behind the cat and the cat ran away and went into a room to hide. The dog couldn't find the cat anymore and feeling sad he went into his doghouse.
