Books and Excerpts of Books - Multilingual

I am right now wondering how to organise bits and pieces of books which are cited somewhere, where you find excerpts here and there, but no complete text. No project I know up to now allows for that, but often those bits and pieces found around the net, put together in one place will help to re-build the original book (which maybe is not accessible anymore). I don't have a clue if this idea will succeed ... also because it does not make sense to have multiple language sites at the beginning, so I will simply post whatever I have here. Once we find a different way to deal with this the contents can be moved. Maybe... I have an idea about this ... yes, I have one ... but in the meantime: this is the place to go.
