Sin dalla nascita il piccolo Nikolay
Barsukov, 10 mesi e mezzo, vive nell’Ospedale Pediatrico della
Regione di Chernigov. È nato con gravi anomalie congenite. La sua
mamma lo ha abbandonato e lasciato in ospedale. La diagnosi è
suonata come una condanna: estrofia della vescia, epispadia completa
e diverse forme di malattia correlate. Tale patologia è piuttosto
rara (1 caso su 50.000).

I received various question concerning how Nikolay is: he had his surgery on 22 January. In addition to the original diagnosis he ad a second problem which was resolved, but needs to be still checked every day. It was a fistula just to mention it. The treatment now is obviously different and the original amount calculated of 6900 EUR became more. 

Nikolay is fine, but like I said before he needs to be checked frequently. When he goes back to Ukraine he will need to remain some more time in the hospital there.

Ho avuto varie domande sul come sta Nikolay: è stato operato il 22 di gennaio. In aggiunta della diagnosi ha avuto un secondo problema che sembra sia stato risolto, ma va ancora controllato. Una fistula se questo vi dice qualcosa. Il trattamento ora e quindi diverso e il preventivo iniziale di 6900 EUR è stato superato.

Nikolay sta bene, ma come detto prima va ancora ben controllato. Quando torna in Ucraina dovrà rimanere ancora in ospedale.

Nikolaj was born a long way away, in a city called Kiev. His mummy, who was just a kid herself, saw his inside-out tummy and no willy to speak of, and the poor thing was so shocked she dropped Nikolaj into his cot and they tell me she’s still running.

Yesterday evening was incredible. From one second to the other this desk became busy, because finally something seems to move just before Christmas.

We received a promise that one of the main documents needed for Nikolay's surgery will be ready on Friday (well, the date is to be taken approximative, but at least: there's the promise). Then: the pre-treatment is now possible in Ukraine (even this: we need to be cautious, but that is the information we have for now).
