Languages

Open Nursery

The main strategic goal for those who want to preserve linguistic diversity consists in preserving the “transmission chain”, i.e. the mechanism by which the seeds of a culture and a language get planted into the human field.

Who is ignorant of other languages is ignorant of his own.

eng: Who is ignorant of other languages is ignorant of his own.

spa: Quien no conosce las lenguas extranjeras nada sabe de la suya propria.

Books and Excerpts of Books - Multilingual

I am right now wondering how to organise bits and pieces of books which are cited somewhere, where you find excerpts here and there, but no complete text. No project I know up to now allows for that, but often those bits and pieces found around the net, put together in one place will help to re-build the original book (which maybe is not accessible anymore). I don't have a clue if this idea will succeed ... also because it does not make sense to have multiple language sites at the beginning, so I will simply post whatever I have here.
