Script to create bilingual tab delimited terminology files from multilingual table
Submitted by Sabine Eller on Fri, 02/05/2010 - 14:53So I have a table with entries for 20 languages approx. and another one with many more languages. I suppose the script already exixts.
What is needed is say:
read in column A and column B in file <something.csv>
add to file <something.txt>
skip if field A or B in line are empty and go ahead with next line
stop at eof <something.csv>
Data for Parley and Similar Applications
Submitted by Sabine Eller on Thu, 01/07/2010 - 16:48We, that is Vox Humanitatis, are at a stage that we have access to more and more data and it would be a shame if we did not give it out in a format people can simply use. Nevertheless there are some issues to it:

Submitted by Sabine Eller on Sun, 12/13/2009 - 21:11Blogs re. KDE will be mainly about KDE Education, in particular Parley and KHangMan, languages, ev. localisation in less resourced languages and improving the possibility to use KDE Education applications (and of course also others) in regions with very low Internet connectivity.
Vox Humanitatis cares mainly about creating contents for educational purposes and localization in less resourced languages.

A story for kids that don't have books
Submitted by Sabine Eller on Fri, 10/09/2009 - 17:30Today I had a verbal fight with my daughter ... she was testing the limits I supposed and I actually was so tired that my personal limits were very low. Now the funny thing is the result ot of that fight.
We've just finished homework. They had to write a story starting with three words they choose. I will write the story below. What was really surprising to me is: she took her time and wrote, compared to her brother a really long story. Now she told me: take the story and give it to children that don't have books, so that they can read it.

Weird behaviour of a website
Submitted by Sabine Eller on Sat, 09/05/2009 - 07:09I have a really weird behaviour of Drupal on the website http://montedigrazia.i-iter.org after having been moved to a different server. Nothing has been changed in the settings or database structure.

Aubergines with chocolate ... and how you start to know people
Submitted by Sabine Eller on Sat, 08/15/2009 - 08:03That was funny, yesterday I wrote a short article about eggplants on the montedigrazia.it website. Then I published this on facebook and twitter. And I got a really interesting answer by DriveAmalfi giving me some links and further information ...
